Today I were allowed to attend BizMaker Day start-up event and sit and listen to all the presentations and pitches held by new start-ups here in Sundsvall. During the course of a afternoon local entrepreneurs presented their company pitches about what they are trying to solve. The presentations held by BizMaker revealed that they aim to propel companies forward to reach a revenue upwards to 25 million Swedish crowns, by helping the start-ups with contacts, marketing, solutions, as well as implementations of processes. There were many different companies in the region that I've never heard about, but many of them peeked my interests, such as Help & Rescue that developed different products for usage in the medical field, such as Thermal Covers for incubators among other things. I took the opportunity to approach the CEO to ask questions I hade about trying to make it in the "Medical supplies field".

About how he found rules and regulations in the field, how he thought one should approach the market as well as other questions. And I found it to be inspiring, when I asked him "How does one take the step to actually try to break through in this field" his answer "Do you believe in your product? Is there anything better with your solution? Then why not go for it?" made me hopefully for the future. He also kept pushing for "Make sure that you have secured your idea with patents before even trying to approaching others" which I am about to do. This all indicates that I'm heading in the right direction. Perhaps In the future I can apply for membership in the incubator, just need to get a little further along the way first to be qualified. Since the companies are evaluated after Their Idea, and how innovative it is, if there is an reasonable market as well as if they company could reach the level of development in five years that are needed for the target revenue. All en all this day was interesting and started to inspire new dreams and ideas, let's just see what the future holds. Just the knowledge of the fact that the incubator exist and how they work, and how they could help companies grow and get in touch with investors, consultants and other companies is good for now.
